Overview Please read 'About Socks' before signing up for this class This is a very challenging sock class. I highly recommend making a hat on two circulars as a prerequisite for this class. I also HIGHLY recommend Addi™ circular needles. Although these needles are costly, they are the best tool for the job. The cable is pliable and will not kink and curl while knitting. Knitters must be able to cast on, knit, purl and have a working knowledge of 'flat' versus 'knitting in the round'. Materials Using a Loose Ends Designs original pattern you will learn to make a pair of adult size socks, two socks at a time. When you close the toe of the socks you will put on a pair of finished socks. No sas (second article syndrome)! Students will learn short row heel and toe shaping; and three different toe closures. Needles:Requires two Addi™ 2.5 mm, 24” circular needles. Yarn requirements: 400 yards of light to medium colored fingering/sock weight yarn. Thicker yarn will not be suitable for this sock class. We will not modify the pattern for different yarn weights. |
