Northern Arizona will be celebrating World Wide Knit In Public Day on Sunday, June 14, 2009. “…World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes.  It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company… “ Last year, three knitters from Winslow met for lunch at the Turquoise Room, after which we spent the rest of a very pleasant afternoon knitting on the back terrace of Arizona’s Historic La Posada Hotel. If you and/or your knitters or guild do not have an event planned please consider joining us. We got a late start planning this year, but things are coming together at the speed of light. We will meet at 1:00 PM for a no host lunch at La Posada's Turquoise Room, then KiP from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on La Posada’s beautiful back terrace and portico.
